
Retirement can come too early for many people who want to remain active and enjoy meeting new people in a friendly environment. Probus clubs are for people who have retired or approaching retirement from their profession or business and want to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests new members are warmly welcomed.
The Probus Club of Sutton in the County of Surrey is a friendly organisation for both ladies and men who have retired from their profession or business and want to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests. Meetings are held monthly to enjoy a good meal, companionship and an interesting talk. Speakers cover a wide range of subjects from the worlds of work, sport, the arts, hobbies, to the environment and so on.
Membership is open to men and ladies who have retired or partly retired and who have worked in a professional or business environment or local residents. If you think you might like to join us then please contact our Membership Secretary. As a first step you would be welcome, as our guest, to one of our monthly lunches.
Luncheon meetings are at Sutton Football Club on the first Monday in the month, unless a bank Holiday, then the 2nd Monday, 12.15am onwards for 12:45pm

By Car
Travel along the M25 to junction 8. Then north on the A217 for about 15-20 minutes. Ignoring signs for Sutton itself, stay on the A217 to the traffic lights by the Gander Inn (on the left), turn right into Gander Green Lane. The Borough Sports Ground / Sutton Football Club is about 200 yards up this road on the left-hand side, if you reach West Sutton station you have gone too far. On Probus Members days only, the club car park is available for members and visitors.
By Rail
West Sutton railway station is adjacent to the ground. It is served by Thameslink trains via Wimbledon or Sutton. Come out of West Sutton station and turn right into Gander Green
By Bus
The 413-hopper service runs past the ground down Gander Green Lane. The bus will stop on request anywhere in Gander Green Lane. The bus leaves Sutton Town centre from outside the main post office.
